Three months later — this is why we did all this. It’s the Vanier Cup, live from PEPS Stadium on the campus of Université Laval in Quebec City.
The Calgary Dinos, the Canada West and Mitchell Bowl Champions, took a bit of a road trip to play the Laval Rouge et Or, the QUFL and Uteck Bowl Champions, for the national championship. The stadium will be packed with 18,000 Rouge et Or fans which gives Laval a considerable advantage right off the bat. But Calgary has played here before and brings one of the nation’s most potent offences to Quebec City to square off against Laval’s number one ranked defence. Calgary also has the nation’s most experienced and decorated quarterback in Erik Glavic, the two-time Hec Crighton Award winner who is appearing in his second straight Vanier Cup.
